David McDonnell

David McDonnell is the Chief Executive Officer of Grant Thornton International Ltd., with overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the organization. Previously, David was National Managing Partner of Grant Thornton, UK with overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the firm Divisional Director for Europe, Middle East & Africa. David was also the Chairman of the International Policy Board of Grant Thornton International.

David is Vice President and Treasurer of the University of Liverpool, Honorary Fellow of Liverpool John Moores University, Committee Member - a number of smaller charities, Deputy Lieutenant of County of Merseyside, C B E. He was also worked for the Justice of the Peace in Liverpool 1980 to 1992, he was the President of Merseyside Junior Chamber of Commerce, President of Liverpool Chartered Accountants’ Students Association, School Governor, Committee Member of various bodies including the Electricity Consultative Council, Boys Clubs, etc., Chairman of Merseyside Society for Deaf People, Committee Member of a number of smaller charities, Former Chairman
