Timothy Flynn
Chairman, KPMG International
Timothy P. Flynn is Chairman of KPMG International. Previously, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive of KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm.
A 28-year veteran of the firm, Tim started his career in KPMG's Minneapolis office in 1979. He previously served as global managing partner, Audit for KPMG International where he chaired the Global Audit Steering Group. He currently serves as client service partner for several of KPMG's largest clients.
Tim also served as vice chair, Audit & Risk Advisory Services for KPMG LLP, and had operating responsibility for the firm's audit practice, as well as its risk advisory services and financial advisory services practices.
Tim is dedicated to creating a values-driven culture that helps fulfill KPMG's "Promise of Professionalism" to its people, clients and the capital markets. He is a member of the Governing Board of the Center for Audit Quality, which is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and of the Business Roundtable serving on its Corporate Governance task force. He also serves on the boards of trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF), FAF's Audit, Development and Strategic Planning committees and the University of St. Thomas, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting.
He has spoken on the subject of business ethics and integrity at the Lumen Institute and at a number of colleges and universities, and was featured in the May 2007 issue of Financial Executive speaking about changes in the accounting profession and the regulatory and reporting environment.
